Update on Health care!! And it big!
I received this email earlier today, and have to say THANK GOD!! Finally 43 house members are trying to make a difference. Use the link to the right to find your congressman/women and ask them to support these 43, or be lucky like myself and just call and say thank you. I hope our Dear President Obama supports this effort!
Something amazing happened yesterday. 43 House members stood up and showed real leadership on health care, while the Senate and White House did nothing.
Rep. Lloyd Doggett was one of the members who joined Reps. Jared Polis (D-CO) and Chellie Pingree (D-ME) on their letter calling on Sen. Harry Reid to pass the public option through “reconciliation,” which only needs 51 votes in the Senate.
When elected representatives take bold action, they deserve our praise. Can you call Rep. Doggett and thank him for signing the Polis/Pingree letter in support of the public option?

Thousands of calls were made yesterday asking local Representatives to sign the letter — and it made a big difference.
One senior House staffer told us: “Thanks for the calls. I wasn’t aware of the letter until the calls started arriving.”
Thank-you calls will also make a big impact — letting Rep. Doggett know that their constituents appreciate it when they are truly bold.
